Mission Statement

Our mission is to amplify the voices of Black ornithologists, promote equitable access to nature and science, and inspire future generations to connect with and protect the natural world.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to create a sense of belonging, safety, and support community among Black ornithologists. Our flock aims to accomplish this through mentorship among group members, representation and advocacy for Black voices in the greater ornithological community, and celebration of Black ornithologists’ accomplishments.
